Sustainable Fibre Alliance
Since the establishment of Khanbogd Cashmere in 1998, it has become one of the leading exporters of dehaired cashmere in the industry. In recent years, the company has worked towards an environmentally friendly business model in its territory of Mongolia. In 2020, Khanbogd Cashmere successfully reached the goal and became the first company to receive the traceability certification of dehaired cashmere from the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA)
SFA is a non-governmental organization (NGO) which helps companies involved in the cashmere industry to ensure long-term viability of cashmere and to adopt the responsible production practices to reduce environmental impacts, safeguard nomadic lives, and ensure animal welfare standards are met. By collaborating with SFA, Khanbogd Cashmere has created not only a sustainable business model but also an environmentally responsible corporate business culture by participating in every seminar and being evaluated by SFA yearly.
Our company collects 26 tons of cashmere from 4 provinces and 5 corporations to whom are all members of the Sustainable Fibre Alliance.
This acquisition for our side expresses our support to the SFA and their mission and to the fulfillment of our duties.

Each and every one of our knitwear products goes through the six essential manufacturing processes: Sorting, Carding, Spinning, Knitting, Linking, and Finishing.
Khanbogd cashmere administers five of the essential processes while cooperating with NAME OF PARTNER for spinning yarns.
The traceability of the raw materials used to produce knitwear is ensured by the transparent production processes of our company. Over the 20 years, Khanbogd Cashmere has built up connections with trustworthy herders that meet the sustainable practices of the sustainable fibre alliance to provide raw materials to produce our organic cashmere.
Mongolia supplies 40% of the global cashmere demands. Cashmere is a rare and valuable raw material which is provided by goats in four natural colors. Khanbogd Cashmere handpicks its cashmere from 11 provinces in Mongolia to meet our top-notch quality standards.
