Sustainable Fibre Alliance
The Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) is a non-profit international organization promoting local sustainability standards for cashmere producers. Its goals are to restore grasslands and support the complex supply chain of cashmere from herders to retailers in a way that protects the environment.
We are proud to announce our partnership with the Sustainable Fibre Alliance.
In June 2020, Khanbogd Cashmere commissioned an extensive evaluation of our cashmere products by the SFA. We received an 82% rating – quite high within the industry – garnering a Silver Award Certification and becoming the first sustainable fibre company in Mongolia.
In 2021, Khanbogd became the first Mongolian cashmere processing company ever to receive an SFA Gold Award Certification. We have exceeded international standards for sustainable production, labor protections, ecological stewardship and social responsibility. And we have dramatically increased our competitiveness in foreign markets, becoming a reliable manufacturer of premium products in the cashmere community.

PRODUCTION
PROCESS
Each and every one of our knitwear products goes through the six essential manufacturing processes: Sorting, Carding, Spinning, Knitting, Linking, and Finishing.
Khanbogd cashmere administers five of the essential processes while cooperating with NAME OF PARTNER for spinning yarns.
TRACEABILITY
The traceability of the raw materials used to produce knitwear is ensured by the transparent production processes of our company. Over the 20 years, Khanbogd Cashmere has built up connections with trustworthy herders that meet the sustainable practices of the sustainable fibre alliance to provide raw materials to produce our organic cashmere.
